LUNARR Overview
LUNARR was founded on the idea that everyone has the potential to be a creative contributor by sharing his or her unique ideas and perspectives through collaboration. Over the course of two and a half years this belief was put to test as LUNARR developed and evolved through intense collaboration and concept building between Toru Takasuka and his colleague Hideshi Hamaguchi as they developed LUNARR from a concept into a successful company.
Toru brought to the table a history of successful product development thanks to his work in the Information Systems Department of Matsushita, which led to the founding of Cybozu, one of the fastest-growing, most successful software companies in Japan’s history. Hideshi, a former Matsushita colleague, brought with him a distinguished reputation – both in Japan and the U.S. – as a leading mind in creative concept development, strategy and decision management.
Together the two men explored possibilities, dreamed big, engineered meticulously, and LUNARR was born. Their product was so simple and so useful; they were amazed no one thought of it before.
